James D. Scheffey

James D. Scheffey joined Yergey Daylor as an associate in 1976 and became a partner in 1980. His practice focuses upon estate planning and administration; real estate; municipal and zoning law; and business transactional law. Mr. Scheffey currently serves as the Solicitor for the Borough of Bechtelsville, Borough of Elverson, North Coventry Municipal Authority, North Coventry Water Authority, and North Coventry Zoning Hearing Board. In addition, he currently represents various small businesses.

Mr. Scheffey has been admitted to practice before all courts in Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Montgomery Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Mr. Scheffey graduated from Widener University School of Law in 1976, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He received his bachelor's degree in American Studies from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill in 1971.

Mr. Scheffey is a member of the Morgantown Area Business Association and the Rotary Club of Twin Valley, where he was a past President. In 2009, he was the winner of the Blue Ribbon Award for Attorney at Law by the Tri County Record.
